You don't need any spares for roasting or grilling as the basket does this very well for you. Any fat or dripping in the pan below can easily be cleaned. For baking cakes you might need to buy an extra pan, that can fit in the basket as it is not provided with the package. However, I might add that I managed to bake both a large bread AND a big cake in the basket by lining it with two layers of foil and then putting the cake mix (or the leavened bread dough) in it:)
